Obituary for Nancy Judd Barlow

Nancy E. Barlow, 78 of Ansonia, passed away May 24, 2016. She was the daugher of the late Milton and Esther Chagnon Judd of Nichols and predeceased by her former husband, Richard McLean Barlow. Nancy was employed as a nurse’s aid at Marian Heights and inspected vulcanized products at Derby Cellular Products. In her earlier career, she was a secretary at AVCO and Sikorsky Aircraft. Nancy was a hard working woman with grit who enjoyed staying busy with many hobbies. Nancy is survived by her dutiful daughter, Elizabeth Van Nostrand and her recently deceased husband, Thomas of Ansonia and her loved grandson, Ross Van Nostrand; beloved son, Richard Barlow and his companion, Ann of Thomaston; her much loved granddaughters, Phoebe and Nova; her former daughter­in­law, Dawn Barlow of Thomaston; her loved son, James Barlow and his supportive wife, Meg of Fairfield and her loved grandchildren, Tom, Teddy, Bess and Lily. Nancy is predeceased by her sister and best friend, Carol Ruggiero and her husband, Tony and their loving children Terry, Tony, Donna and Joey of Stratford. Nancy is also survived by her cherished brother, Jim Judd and his wife, Pat of Southbury and their two children, David and Jonathan; and her brother whom she adored, Bob Judd and his wife, Lynn of Shelton and their two sons, Ben and Zach who were devoted to their Aunt Nancy. She is also survived by Beth Hill and her husband, Graham and their children, Crystal and Jessie of TN, and all other family members. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, CT. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM
