Obituary for Roy Hendrickson
Roy Hendrickson, 90, of Kirtland passed away May 20, 2016 at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born May 15, 1926 in Coral, PA.
Mr. Hendrickson was the plant maintenance supervisor at Kennametal Inc. in Willoughby for 34 years before retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran who proudly served his country, a 70 year member of the American Legion, and a member of VFW, and also a talented craftsman and an amazing husband, father and grandfather and an inspiration for all who knew him.
Surviving Roy is his wife of 66 years, Violetta; children Holly (Thomas) Theis, Colleen (Ronald Ellis) Hemphill, Denise (Tom) Hagen and Roy “Eric” (Cindy) Hendrickson; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and his sister Helen Anderson. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lura Hendrickson; siblings, Kathryn Duffalo, Margaret “Sue” Williams; Earl “Bud” and Charles “Wally” Hendrickson and his twin sister, Ruth Hendrickson.
