Daniel J. Nestor
Daniel James Nestor, 82, formerly of Canal Fulton, went to be with the Lord May 10, 2016.
He was born September 20, 1933 in Akron to Harry and Pearl Nestor and was the youngest of five children.
He resided in Canal Fulton much of his adult life. While attending Buchtel High School, he worked as a mechanic for Kiehl''s Garage and later was employed by the J.F. Bertolini Co. He was an expert craftsman in working with marble, tile, and terrazzo, an avid hunter, and a gifted mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; his wife of 56 years, LaVonne; and daughter, Debi Wright-Schultz. He is survived by daughters, Tari (Gary) Reynolds of Louisville, Ky., Peggie (Rick) Stanley of Minerva; and son, Dan Nestor of Clinton; grandchildren, Tom, Tim (Joey), Emily (Joe), Stephanie, Danny and great-grandson, Tyler.
Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221, Rev. Paul Beal officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to CHERUBS (www.cherubs-cdh.org).
