Obituary for Tilden Sanson

TILDEN ''JACK'' ''HILLBILLY'' SANSON JR AUSTINTOWN – Tilden “Jack” “Hillbilly” Sanson Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. He was born Feb. 6, 1936, in Fairmont, W.Va., son to the late Tilden Sr. and Opal (Stewart) Sanson. Jack was an East Fairmont High School graduate.
He was a forklift operator for General Motors all the way until his retirement. He was also a member of the Austintown Fraternal Order of Eagles 3298. Jack loved to be outside, and whether he was out in the garage or playing in the yard with his grandchildren, he enjoyed being in the company of family more than anything else.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Frances Sanson, whom he married March 26, 1983. He will also be missed by his children, Cindy (Randy) Harris, Barbara (Jack) Barringer, Pam Granger, Lori (Tim) Wilks, Fran (Eric) Brunstetter, Rick Sanson, Debbie Logston, and Tilden “Jack” (Cassie) Sanson III’ and countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, Donald, and Dale Sanson. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave.
Family will also receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., and funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may visit www.lanefuneralhomes.com to send condolences.
