Obituary for Faith E. Garcia Lucas

Faith E. Lucas, age 84, of Derby, entered into rest on Monday March 7, 2016 in Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 14, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Kalbfeld) Garcia and was a resident of Derby for most of her life. She was employed at Western Union for many years. She likes sewing, latch hook, and cooking. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 45. Faith is survived by her sister Judith Garcia, one niece Pauline Gilbert and her husband William, and one great niece Samantha Gilbert. She was predeceased by her son Robert Smith and a brother Howard Garcia. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
