Marlene M. Guess, 76, of Streetsboro, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, March 3, 2016.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, on December 6, 1939 to Edwin and Thelma (Steinbeck) Guess. She graduated from Hudson High School. Marlene worked for the Terex Corporation in Hudson and she worked at and co-owned MRZ Greenhouse in Streetsboro. She loved gardening and grew many flowers and vegetables.
Marlene will be deeply missed by her brother, Larry Guess of Streetsboro; sister, Cheryl Thomason of Stow; niece, Christine (Shannon) Mayfield of Tallmadge; cousins, Roger (Diane) Thomas of Hudson, Eileen (Dave) Solomon of Akron, Dr. Elca Swigart, Jerry Guess, Karen Slotsky, Ivan Guess and June Hoover; great-niece and nephew, Cara and Tommy Mayfield who brought her great joy; and brother-in-law, Bob Thomason. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call Sunday, March 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Billow''s Funeral Home Falls Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, March 7, at 11 a.m. She will be interred at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
