Obituary for Sandra A. Swan

Sandra Ann Swan, age 78, of Beacon Falls, died Thursday March 3, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. Sandra was born January 5, 1937 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian (Johnson) Swan. She was a 1954 graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School, was retired from Region 16 School System where she had worked as a lunch aide at Algonquin School, formerly worked at the Homer D. Bronson Company in Beacon Falls, was a teacher at Blessed Sacrament School in Waterbury and was a communicant of St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Beacon Falls. She was a member of the Beacon Falls Senior Citizens, a former member of Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury and volunteered at the Paradigm Health Care Centers in Prospect and Waterbury. Sandra is survived by a sister in law: Sandra L. Swan of Beacon Falls, niece: ErinSwan, nephew: Brian Swan, grand nieces: Olivia and Sydney, several other nieces and nephews, her dear friend: Letty Rek and all of the wonderful friends that Sandra had during her years on Earth. She was predeceased by a brother: Kevin Swan and two sisters: Karen S. Swan and Joan M. Swan. A funeral mass will be held on Monday March 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
