Obituary for Geraldine A Hutchinson
GERALDINE ''GERRY'' A. HUTCHINSON YOUNGSTOWN - Geraldine “Gerry” A. Hutchinson, 76, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, surrounded by her two sons and daughter-in-law. Gerry was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Milton Howard and Susan (Smith) Bliss.
She was the owner of Boehms Bicycle Supply Company and also worked as a nurse’s aid at Seneca Nursing Home, and as an aide at Grainger House. Her husband, Adrian J. Hutchinson Sr., whom she married in 1959, passed away in 1978. Gerry was a member of the Emmanuel Community Church, where her son, John, serves as pastor. She loved animals, especially her two dogs. She always put others ahead of herself and she found great joy in taking care of others.
She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, reading, and watching true story movies. Gerry will always be remembered lovingly by her two sons, Adrian J. Hutchinson Jr. and Rev. John (Becky) Hutchinson; two sisters, Philemene Lillio and Joan Thorp; brother Edward Bliss; and sister Marlene Bliss. Besides her parents and husband, Gerry was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Bliss.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at the Emmanuel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road in Canfield, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. The Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, have the honor of handling the arrangements for Gerry.
