Obituary for Ann Louise Fiocca

Ann Fiocca Ann Fiocca, artist, decorator, gardener, mother and wife for 61 years to Gene, was born in 1936 to Elmer and Sue Bruggeman - second of three children, Sue Usner Miller (Robert) and Joyce Sucher Jaqua (Jack). Ann''s four children - Kari Danko (Dennis), Kim Fiocca, Kris Fiocca (Elaine), and Kip Fiocca (Sherry) had all found their own lives by 1989 and left Ann and Gene with 25 wonderfully fruitful years to enjoy each other, travel, pursue their artistic talents and expand their home in anticipation of family gatherings with grandchildren: Amelia Duffy (Jay) Max McGreevy, Kristopher, John, Elizabeth Rose and Kip Eugene Fiocca. Among Ann''s talents was a keen sense of what things should look like and just where they should be and her home evidenced this in spades. Her strong Lutheran faith has been her guidepost all her life and an inspiration not only to her family but to all those lucky enough to be her friend. These friendships and involvement in the Akron Garden Club over the years gave Ann joy and companionship to her last days. We hope our lives will continue to reflect the strong family values, unique traditions, and priorities so ably taught to us by this gracious woman''s life. Ann passed peacefully on January 31, 2016 after a short illness, never having the chance to redecorate the hall clock for Valentine''s Day. Private services have taken place. Remembrances may be sent to the Ann Fiocca Flower Fund, c/o the Akron Garden Club, 711 Delaware Ave., Akron, Ohio 44303 or to Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44333.
