Obituary for Dorothy M Kish

DOROTHY M. LYONS KISH STOW – Private services were held for Dorothy M. Kish, 87, formerly of Austintown, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, at Alter Care Transitional Care of Western Reserve. Dorothy was born April 28, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of Harvey and Jeanette (Pendelton) Lyons.

She was a resident of the Austintown area for more than 50 years until moving to Stow to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Dorothy was a former member of the Mahoning Valley Church and the Highway Tabernacle Church for many years, where she helped in the nursery and in the kitchen, serving seniors and dinners.

Dorothy married Frank Kish on Aug. 15, 1955, and he passed away June 23, 2001. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Shelley Harcar and her husband, Kenneth; one grandson, John Harcar, all of Stow; and one sister, Betty Boozell of Grove City, Pa.

Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and James Lyons.
