Alice L. (Hammond) Geopfert Obituary Alice L. Geopfert CUYAHOGA FALLS - Alice L. Geopfert (Hammond) was born on June 23, 1924 in Akron, Ohio and passed away January 14, 2016. She has been reunited with her loving husband, Jim, who she lost after only 29 years of marriage in July 1974. Also preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Ferrell C. Hammond, and brother, Richard Hammond. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Michael) French, of Cuyahoga Falls. She also leaves nieces and nephews. She has resided in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio most of her life, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1943. She also worked at the Cuyahoga Falls Utility Billing Dept. for ten years. Her joys in life were bowling, golfing and doing jig-saw puzzles. Her most enjoyment was shopping with her daughter. The family would like to thank the Staff at Mulberry Gardens and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 18 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
