Obituary for Nancy H. Shoemaker
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Nancy H. Shoemaker, age 75, passed away December 29, 2015.
Nancy was born in Akron and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1958. She was very active with her Arabian horses, her Cuyahoga Falls Class of ''58 Alumni, and especially enjoyed her family being the unique grandmother of two sets of twins. She was an animal lover and had many pets.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John; daughters, Jody (Dennis) McGarry of Arlington, Va. and Lisa (Jim) Distel of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, James, John and Jaret Distel; Kyle and Emily McGarry; brother, Ralph (Lynn) Hood of Surprise, Ariz.; and cousin, Marian Stranahan of Brimfield.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Final resting place, Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Akron or other pet rescue organizations.
