Obituary for Mary Catherine Timberlake

OBITUARY.

Died, August 25th, 1907, four miles south of Belton, Mo., Mary Catherine, wife of Joseph Timberlake, aged 71 years 1 month and 11 days.

Mary Catherine Redmon was born in Clark county, Ill., July 14th, 1836. She was united in marriage to Joseph Timberlake, February 14, 1836. To this union seven children were born, of whom four are still living. Mrs. Georgia Higgins and Mrs. Alice Hendeson near Stanley, Kansas, Mr. Wm. Timberlake, near Gardner, Kansas, and Mr. Emry Timberlake near Prairie Center.

After coming to Kansas they resided west of Olathe for a time, then moved to their home near Belton. Mrs. Timberlake united with the Baptist church at the age of 34 years. Tis said of her that she was a generous kind hearted woman to neighbors and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home in the forenoon of the 26th, by Rev. Dawson, pastor of the Christian church of Belton, and remains were taken to Olathe cemetery for burial.
