NETTIE THOMPSON
Martha Annette Tl,,nnl , vyinj-auii was born March 5, 1863, at Coulterville, Ill., and died Thursday, October 9, 1913, at the home of her brother Will, at Vermillion, South Dakota. Her parents moved to Kansas when she was one year old. She joined the United Presbyterian church at an early age during the time of the Rev. McLenehan's pastorate here. She was a member of this church until she went to Cherokee county in 1901. When she returned to Olathe she joined the Reformed Presbyterian church and was a faithful member until her death.
Nettie was for a number of years a nurse at the State School of the Deaf, where she was liked by the employees and a favorite of the children.
 
She had been ill for several months and a few weeks ago went to visit her brother and died while there. Three brothers and a sister survive. They are: L.D.Thompson, of Olathe, Wm. Tnompson, ot Vermillion, S. D. and A. R. Thompson, of Stanley and Mrs. David Taggart, of Olathe, all of whom were present at the funeral. The remains were brought to Olathe Sunday morning and the funeral services were held at. the Coventerr church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon and were conducted Dy Dr. VV. T. McConnei, ot St. Joseph, who is filling the pulpit at th e United Presbyterian church. The remains were laid to rest in the Olathe cemetery.
