Obituary for Bradley Robert Brandes

Bradley Robert Brandes, 40, of Olathe, KS, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 24, 2012. Funeral services will be 11am, Wednesday, August 29th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21515 W. 101st Street, Lenexa, KS, with burial following in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday August 28 from 5-7pm at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund or LDS Humanitarian Fund.

Brad was born on November 26, 1971 in Garden City, KS to Robert and Sandra (Stapleton) Brandes. He was employed by Sprint/Embarq/Century Link for 20 years as an IT Consultant. Beyond his talent for computers, he really enjoyed sports, especially K-State and BYU Football. Brad was a true servant of Christ, helping anyone at any time. Above all, he was a devoted family man. His wife, children and family held the highest priority in his life. He was an exceptional husband, loving daddy, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Brad was preceded in death by his infant son, Jacob Daniel Brandes and mother, Sandra Jean Brandes. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Jessica Joy Brandes; children, Bradley Michael, Joshua David, Caleb Robert, Sara Elizabeth and Hannah Joy Danelle Brandes; father and stepmother Robert and Lonetta Brandes; sisters, Tamra Danelle Brandes and Tricia Elizabeth Brandes; parents-in-law, Sam and Maureen Harper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jared and Renee Harper, Chris and Janell NeSmith and Stephen and Ashley Harper and nephews, Owen, Isaac and Avery NeSmith.
