Dr. Miles Barber died at his residence on Cedar street, Tuesday, in the  81st year of his age. Though peculiarly afflicted, his limbs being permanently crossed  in such a manner that it was very difficult for him to walk, from a rheumatic affection, yet he scorded all assistance from friends and supported himself in good style , until, within the last year,by the sale of proprietary medicines, manufacted by his son in Iowa. About a year ago on account of failing health incident to old age. he was compelled to give up his work. Dr. Barber had friends. no enemies and many friends.
