"Together Again"
Harry L. Shaposka, Sr., age 87, of Wickliffe, passed away surrounded by loving family at home early Tuesday morning December 1, 2015. He was born in Washington County, East Pike Run Township, Lilley Pennsylvania on February 28, 1928, to the late Harry Shaposka and Anna (Palmaskunich) Shaposka.
He was the beloved husband of the late Wilma for 60 years; loving father of Cindy (Joseph) Teachout and Harry Jr. (Deborah); devoted grandfather of Marcie Teachout, Laura (James) Bailey, Cheryl (Matt) Facemire, Joseph (Michelle) Teachout Jr., John (Erin) Shaposka and Patrick Shaposka (Danielle Maynard). Harry had ten great grandchildren, Andrew, Avalon, Olivia, Maria, Ethan, Evan, Joshua, Samuel, Sophie, Sadie and one on the way. He was also a cherished uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Harry served in the U.S. Army from February 1946 to August 1947 and had an Honorable Discharge. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, gardening, ushering at church and spending time with his family. Harry worked at General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Cleveland for 35 years.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home,. A private funeral is planned for Friday, December 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests donations in his name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
