Obituary for David M Gunter

DAVID MARK GUNTER CANFIELD - David Mark Gunter, 54, passed away after a brief illness, Saturday Dec. 5, 2015, at home with his loving parents.
He was a 1980 graduate of Canfield High School and attended Youngstown State University, where he studied cartography and geography. He was employed at Youngstown Pipe and Supply for 18 years.

He was a proud veteran and served as a member of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and trained USMA Cadets at West Point in New York.
A loving and loyal son, he spent much of his time in nature and was an avid hiker and fisherman. “He will forever be in our hearts.” Survivors include his parents, Bernie and Fran Gunter; sisters Debra Weaver and Barbara (Lars) Brondum; his nephews, Derek (Priscila) Weaver, Daniel (Ivy) Weaver, Dylan Weaver, Krister Brondum and Eric Brondum; his great-nephews, Preston and Elliot; and niece Harper Weaver.

Private services to be held at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to the non-profit Treez Please, an organization dedicated to planting trees in the local area. A memorial tree will be planted in his honor.
