Obituary for Loretta J Pritchett

LORETTA JANE PRITCHETT CANFIELD
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Loretta Jane Pritchett, 73, who died early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Loretta was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Elmer and Mary Jane (Shetley) Miller.
She was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and worked as a secretary at Boardman Mold and Plastic for several years until retiring in 1997. Loretta volunteered doing Amblyopia vision screenings for Goodwill Industries, where she went to local schools testing children’s vision. She loved going to the beach and reading books in the sun. Loretta’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Loretta is survived by her husband, David Pritchett, whom she married June 6, 1964; a daughter, Jill (Jerry) Jones of Boardman; a son, Jeffrey D. (Debbie) Pritchett of Wilsonville, Ore.; a brother, Jim (LuAnn) Miller of Bethel Park, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Eric and Austin Jones, and Tess and Gia Pritchett.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, P.O. Box 430, Youngstown, OH 44501.
