Obituary for Shirley L. Norris
Shirley L. Norris (Anderson), nee Burt, 79, passed away Nov. 22, 2015.
Shirley was born in Massillon to the late Clarence and Doris (Spitler) Burt and lived in the Akron area most of her life. She was a graduate of Revere High School class of 1953. She worked at Sears for 50 years until her retirement. She was an avid Indians fan, she never missed a broadcasted game.
Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Anderson; second husband, Edward Norris. She is survived by children, Scott (Diane) and William (Linda) Anderson; stepchildren, Tami (George) Tonathy Melani (David) Tate and Teri (Bob) Grizer; grandson, William S. B. Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Art and Lorabelle and Rich and Ellen Norris; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be Monday, 11 a.m. at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron (corner of N. Main and Mildred). Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Shirley''s final resting place will be Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
