Obituary for Helen Fishum Culik

Mrs. Helen Fishum Culik 86 of Ansonia died Thursday at her home. She is the wife of the late Charles J. Culik.
Born in Seymour on June 1, 1929 daughter of the late Karp and Lena (Brenia) Fishum. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, and a graduate of the Seymour School System. Helen could be found at the local dances and she enjoyed dressing for those occasions. She is the youngest of her large family.
Survivors are her daughter in law Marsha Martin Culik of Beacon Falls granddaughters Marie Elizabeth and Danielle Grace Culik, her sister Ann Fishum of Seymour as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Charles, son John C. Culik and brothers and sisters.
Her will leave on Wednesday at 9:15 am from the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia and a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 in the Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in care of the Funeral Home. -
