Obituary for Marilou Bolander

                                                                                                                                                                     Marilou Bolander, a long time Mentor resident, passed away October 9, 2015, at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born April 25, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio. Marilou was a fun loving, kind and generous person, who enjoyed life and lived every day to the fullest. Her many passions were roller skating, traveling, dancing and her love of the slot machines.She cared so deeply for animals that not a day went by that she didn''t feed the squirrels and birds. Marilou was also a very avid sports fan. She loved the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeye''s and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Her most enjoyment of all was the time that she spent with her beloved family. Marilou was employed as a supervisor at J.C. Penney''s and retired after 35 years of service, a job that she truly loved. Survivors are her children, Robert (Pamela) Bolander, Tim (Stacie) Bolander, Gary (Janice) Bolander, Cheryl (Jack) Donovan, Lori Kilgore and Jon (Liz) Bolander. She is also survived by her 14 loving grandchildren; her 12 loving great grandchildren; her companion of many years, Nick Roscoe; her brother, Jack Moran; and her nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Bolander; her parents, Aloysius and Florence Moran; her brothers, Robert and Donald; and her grandson, Tim Bolander.A memorial service to celebrate Marilou''s life will be held 6 p.m. Monday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center,  Mentor, OH 44060. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
