Obituary for Paul Donley

MINERAL RIDGE – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, celebrating the life of Paul Donley, 85, who passed away Monday morning at Hospice House.

Paul was born Jan. 26, 1930, in New Castle, Pa., the son of the late Edward and Cora (Stillwagon) Donley.

He retired from the maintenance and truck repair department of General Motors in 1998, after 32 years of service. Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War, and a former member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church. He loved camping and enjoyed his pets, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul leaves his wife, the former Shelba J. Dorsey, whom he married May 21, 1955; and two children, Randy Donley of Mineral Ridge and Cynthia (Guy) Lowes of Holden, W.Va. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Michael, Alisa, Kevin, Brittany, Gregory, Arielle, and Zachary; as well as four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Sophia, Naomi and Kylan.

Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by four brothers and nine sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Cancer Center 667 Eastland Ave. SE, Warren, OH 44484, in Paul’s name.
