Obituary for Cecile Micol Scalabrini

Cecile Scalabrini, 76, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 19, 2015, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Marcel G. Scalabrini. Mrs. Scalabrini was born in Brompton, Quebec, Canada on October 5, 1938, daughter of the late Alfred and Rose-Aimee’ Couture Nicol. She was employed in the Housekeeping Department at Hewitt Memorial Health & Rehab in Shelton for 28 years until her retirement. Cecile loved her job, co-workers and especially the patients and always went above and beyond for them. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Brigitte Scalabrini of Seymour, brothers Alfred Nicol and Gerard Nicol of Canada, sisters, Bernadette, Madeleine, Sister Rejeane, and Gisele all of Canada and numerous brothers and sisters in law, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Emile and sisters, Rita and Jeannine. Mrs. Scalabrini’s funeral will be held on Saturday September 26, 2015, at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Church, 75 Derby Avenue in Derby, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Visiting will take place on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Griffin Hospital for their kindness and wonderful care.
