Emilio Carlo Varricchio, 83, of Wickliffe, passed away Sept. 12, 2015.
Emilio was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Meadville, Pa., and trained at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a highly respected self-employed piano technician. Emilio was proudly involved in many organizations, serving as chaplain of the Marine Corps League, commander of the Post 7 of the Wickliffe Ohio Chapter of the American Legion, and president of the Wickliffe Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley (nee Balint); four daughters, Barbara Darroch (Jerry), Debra Crone (John), Sandra Healey (Robert), and Carla Godfrey (Dave). He was blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: his twin brother Enrico, Lou, Al, Jenny, and Mary.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe.
Burial will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Marine Corp League - Gunny Hall, 8720 Twinbrook Drive, Mentor, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charity, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
