Obituary for Roy B Preston

Services will be 2:00pm Friday, August 28, 2015, at L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Roy B. Preston who passed away Sunday August 23 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  

Mr. Preston was born July 10, 1939 in Beaver Falls, PA.; the son of Walter Allen and Marjorie Preston. He had been employed by the Mahoning County Sanitation Department as a Sanitation Engineer. He loved gun and coin collecting, fixing cars, sitting in the park, wrestling and his beloved dog, Simba.

He leaves to mourn his passing and rejoice in his peace, two daughters Michelle Preston of Youngstown and Dr. Danette (Dr. Carroll) Conklin of Columbus; six grandchildren, Delano and Jac’lene Conklin of Columbus, Erick, Maurice, Ambrosia Preston; a great-grandson Sherman Moody II and an uncle Charlie Jackson all of Youngstown, and his beloved dog Simba Preston.

Besides his wife of 43 years the former Harlean Brown, he was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, Bernie Jackson. Friends may call one hour prior to the services 1-2:00pm at the funeral home.
