Obituary for Harold Murzak

Harold Murzak, 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2015, at Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Kunzik Murzak. Mr. Murzak was born in Ansonia on September 6, 1922, son of the late Harry and Rose Shpak Murzak. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he was an insurance salesman for Paul Revere Life Insurance until his retirement in 1988. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during WW 2. Harold was a life member and past commander of the D.A.V. Chapter 16 in Ansonia, a member of David S. Miles American Legion Post 174 in Oxford, St. Sebastian Men’s Club in Ansonia, King Hiram Lodge in Shelton, Hamilton Commandery No. 5 Knights Temple in Stratford and Baldwin Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons in Stratford. Harold was an avid fisherman and a diehard fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He is survived by a son, David Murzak (Gloria) of North Haven, two daughters, Sondra Angelucci of Oxford and Barbara Baranek of East Haven, cherished grandchildren, Robert and Todd Angelucci, Alfred Baranek, and Christopher, Michele and Lisa Murzak, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Biesadecki. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 10, 2015, from 4-7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, his funeral will leave at 9:30 am for a funeral service at 10:00 am at Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Avenue, Ansonia.
