Obituary for Martha Sulik
POLAND - Martha G. Sulik, 87, died Aug. 16, 2015, at Hospice House.
Mrs. Sulik was born May 27, 1928, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of Roy and Mildred Brown.
She was a Sharon High School graduate and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Bowling Green University. Martha was a teacher for Youngstown City Schools, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter, as well as a member of the P.E.O.
Her husband, Edward, whom she married March 7, 1953, died Oct. 19, 1978.
She leaves her children, Mary Ellen (Jack) Brinsko of Lowellville, Barbara (Tony) DiPiero of Boardman, JoAnn Pingatore of Wyoming, and Jim Sulik of New Waterford; two brothers, David (Janet) and Ray (Mary) Brown, both of California; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Brown; and one sister, Margaret Moore.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
