Richard Calvin Thellmann

1926-2015 age 88, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Promise Hospital in Bossier City, LA. He was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Gary Ind. the son of the late Andrew and Sarah (Gregor) Thellmann. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended Valparaso University, Indiana University, 15 years Monroe Calculating and received a Presidential Award in Racine, Wisc. He spent remaining years selling cars in Akron and Canton before retiring in 1986. Richard lived in Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Louisiana briefly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Martin, Andrew, John, and Carl Thellmann, and his special friend, Wally Hershberger. Richard is survived by five children, Sally, Lori, Luann, Steven, and Paul; 14 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, Wally''s son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Kris Hershberger. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at Rose Hill Memory Gardens, 3655 Wales Ave NW, in Massillon on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dale Smith officiating.
