Obituary for Lois Lunsford

                                                                                                                                                                     Lois C. Lunsford, 92, went home to be with the Lord Aug. 16, 2015, at her home in Concord, California. Lois was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Cleveland, to Lewis and Clara Snyder. She was the younger of two daughters. She graduated from Collinwood high school and was an active member of the local Baptist church where she was secretary and enjoyed singing in the choir. It was at the Baptist church that she met and married Arden Lunsford, her husband of more than 50 years. Lois and Arden moved to Mentor where she was employed as a secretary at City Hall from which she retired in 1990. Lois was well liked at her job and was affectionately known as "Boom Boom" for her love of drums and playing drums in her high school band.Lois loved visiting with both family and friends and always had a good word to say about everyone. She enjoyed camping, music, soaps and table games. Her favorite game was Rummikub which she would play long hours into the night. Her great-grandchildren knew her as Grandma Delicious as her reply to a question about how she liked any food was always, "It''s delicious". She is survived by a son and his wife, Dean and Jeanie Lunsford; a daughter and her husband Donna and Greg Waskovich; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Lunsford. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center Mentor, OH 44060. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, OH.
