BETTY JEAN MCQUEEN

“Together Again”

YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be at noon, Tuesday, at the Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church, for Betty Jean McQueen, 80, who departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at her residence.

Mrs. McQueen was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Sarah Gamble Collins.

She was a homemaker, mother of the church, and its secretary and clerk.

Her husband, Rev. George McQueen, who she married Oct. 30, 1955, died May 15, 2005.

She leaves her children, Rita Agee (Clarence) Jennings of Dayton, Glenda J. McQueen, Theresa (Ira) Clark, Pauletta Christian, George (Michele) McQueen Jr., all of Youngstown, and Donna Richardson of Boardman; two stepchildren, Ronald and Jackie McQueen; a sister, Gladys Parker; sister-in-law Anna Mae McQueen; brother-in-law Roosevelt Ward; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald McQueen; a stepson, James McQueen; stepdaughter Beverly McDonald; sister Essie Woods; brother Clarence Gamble III; grandsons James Mixon and Thomas James III; and a granddaughter, Monica James.

A sing-out will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, at the Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church.
