Juanita Haines Lewis, 76, transitioned home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 22, 2015.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on April 10, 1939 to her parents, Harold and Katie Haines. She was a faithful member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher. Juanita loved the Lord and sharing the Word of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Katie Haines; brothers, Eddie, Ronnie and Harold T. Haines Jr. and sisters, Holly Haines and Gaynell Haines .
She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory her son, Wayne Lewis III; daughters, Ava (Phillip) Miller and Rosalyn (Johnny D.) Berger Sr.; brothers, Roger Haines, Harold Jacob Haines, and Howard Haines; sisters, Linda Ward, Jeanie McCormick, Dianna Davis, Debra Haines-Simmons and Derrine Haines; step-daughters, Gaynell Hunt and Sandra Brown; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren other loving relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Minister Arthur Brown, officiating and Minister Phillip L. Miller, eulogizing. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences can be sent to 2550 Thurmont Road, Akron, Ohio 44313.
