Obituary for Lucy D Swindler

NILES - Lucy D. Swindler, 63, passed away peacefully at 8:54 a.m. on Monday July 6, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center from complications following an extended illness.

She was born in Warren, Ohio on December 11, 1951 the daughter of Anthony and Rose A. (Caizza) Buccino.

She was a 1970 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and Raphael''s School of Beauty. She was the manager at Toys "R" Us, a licensed beautician and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Niles. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to visit her special friend Beverly Tarr and most of all, she cherished the time spent with her granddaughter, whom she called "Smooch".

Lucy is survived by her husband, John R. Swindler whom she married on August 31, 1974; daughter, Tiffany (Jon) Wheeler of Niles; granddaughter, Bella Wheeler; brother, Neil (Linda) Buccino of Niles; four sisters, Connie (Tom) Havaich of Carroll, Josephine (Mike) Boleratz of Howell, Michigan, Antoinette "Toni" Buccino of Girard, Roseann (Mark) Harper of Girard and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and will be reuntied with her stillborn son, Jason John Swindler.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where the Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Noon at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, preceded by a 11:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenhaven Cemetery.
