Obituary for Phillip A Ricciulli
NILES – Phillip A. Ricciulli, 77, died at 3:10 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland.
He was born Aug. 3, 1937, in New York City, the son of Antonio and Domenica Musmanno Ricciulli. He was then raised in Colobraro, Italy, until he was 12, then returned to the United States.
He was a 1957 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed in inventory at Packard Electric for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed going to dinner and dancing with friends and making homemade Italian wine, which he won numerous gold medals for at the Warren Italian Festival. He also enjoyed bowling, metal detecting and traveling. “Phill” was a U.S. Army veteran, having served two years in Germany as a border guard.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Cynthia LaLama Ricciulli, whom he married Dec. 22, 1973; three daughters, Sonya Artman and her husband, Robert, of Niles, Dr. Angel Ricciulli (Michael Ciolli) of Niles, and Natalie Ricciulli, at home; a brother, Peter Infante of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; a sister, Angela Rich and her husband, Jerry, of Canfield; and three grandchildren, Hunter Artman, Avé Ciolli, and new baby Ciolli.
>Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Benner; and his stepfather, Louis Infante.Burial will be at Greenhaven Cemetery in Canfield, where Phillip will be honored for his military service by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
