Obituary for Marion V. Cunningham

Funeral service for Marion V. Cunningham, 84 of Mentor, formerly of Willoughby will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7643 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor 44060. Mr. Cunningham passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his daughter''s residence in Eastlake, surrounded by his family. He was born July 19, 1930 in Meadowbrook, West Virginia. He retired in 1992 from Park Drop Forge in Cleveland. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in the yard, and building things with his hands. Active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Marion''s family would like to express their gratitude to his nurse Sara, nursing aide Kim, and Don, his spiritual care advisor, from Grace Hospice for all the love and support they showed him through his journey back home. Survivors include his daughters, Willa L. (Cletus) Workman of Eastlake and Clara J. (David) Roth of Chardon; daughter-in-law, Rose M. Cunningham of West Virginia; grandchildren, Dana Workman, Jessica Workman, Christopher Wilson, Thomas (Jennafer) Wilson, Annette Cunningham, Johnathan (Jennifer) Cunningham, and David Nester; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill, Marsha, Loretta, Dora Jean, Wanema, and Alma. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ann Cunningham; second wife, Joyce Cunningham; son, Lewis V. Cunningham; brother, Eugene Cunningham; and sister, Dorothy Shipe. Family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp. Family suggests contributions be made to Grace Hospice, 7314 Industrial Park Blvd., Mentor OH 44060.
