Obituary for Michael J Ilich

MICHAEL JOSEPH ILICH SR
BOARDMAN - Prayers will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Michael Joseph Ilich Sr., 64, who passed away suddenly Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center
Michael was born April 4, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Michael and Irene (Kracko) Ilich.
Michael was a 1969 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973. Michael retired in 2014, from West Penn Printing after 10 years as a pressman. He was a huge Cleveland Browns fan. He always looked forward to vacationing at Disney World and Myrtle Beach. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and golfing in his younger years, and was a member of several leagues. Michael had a love for gardening and always enjoyed preparing his garden during this time of year. His greatest love was for his family, especially his dogs, his “little princess,” Bella, and his late dog, Kodi.
Michael leaves his wife, the former Linda Ann DiTullio, whom he married Aug. 11, 1979; his three sons, Michael Joseph Ilich Jr. of Austintown, Benjamin Michael Ilich of Boardman, and Ronald Anthony Ilich of Boardman; two sisters, Janet Delfraino of Poland and Karen (Joe) Zins of Boardman; a brother, Charles (Marianne) Ilich of New Jersey; two nieces, Denise Lago of Aurora and Iris Ilich of New Jersey; a nephew, Brian Delfraino of Twinsburg; and a great-niece, Gianna Delfraino.

amily and friends may pay their respects Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
