Donta Rozell Brown

Donta Rozell Brown passed away on April 23, 2015.

Donta loved the Lord and kept him first in all things. Donta was one semester away from completing her bachelor''s degree from the Stark State University majoring in social work. She was very influential in the community and a blessing to all who came into contact with her. She was an active supporter of the Buchtel PTA, and a founding member of Sarah''s House also a volunteer with the Akron Canton Food Bank where she obtained the title of "Meat Lady."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovie and Sarah Brown and brother, Albert Stanley Brown.

She leaves to cherish her legacy, her two loving children, son, Ruben Wilkerson and daughter, Colby Brown; granddaughter, Jada Morgan; brothers, Lewis (Brenda) Brown and Dennis (Cynthia) Baker; sisters, Mildred Denise (James) White, Cynthia (Lawrence) Nixon, Marcia (Ronald) Robinson, and Linda Brown; two aunts, Erma Dixon and Mattie Williams; uncle, Renoil Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service, Pastor Elder John Beecher eulogizing. Interment will be held at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
