Obituary for Judith L Pappas

;JUDITH LOUISE ''JUDY'' PAPPAS

AUSTINTOWN - Judith Louise “Judy” Pappas, 70, died on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 4:10 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Main Campus, in Youngstown.

She was born on June 20, 1944, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy Antrim Fergus Sr.

Judy graduated in 1962 from Austintown Fitch High School. She worked as an assembler at Packard Electric in Warren and after 20 years, she retired in 1996. Judy was an avid cook and baker, and loved it so much, she cooked at Alberini’s Restaurant for six years. Judy also attended the Ohltown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest T. “Ernie” Pappas, whom she married on March 25, 1977; her children, Erik (Shannon) Pappas of Austintown, Shawn (Regan) Pappas of Clearwater, Fla., and Shane Pappas of Seminole, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Maddison, Hunter, Ava, Liam, and Maeve Pappas. Judy also is survived by one brother, Andrew Fergus Jr. of Austintown; and one niece, Joanna (Thomas) Keller of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 24, 2015, where the Rev. Teresa C. Smolka will celebrate Judy’s life.

Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Judy will be laid to rest at Green Haven Memorial Park, Canfield.
