Obituary for Rita A Hug
Rita A. (nee DeMattie) Hug, born July 22, 1926, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015, at age 88.
Beloved wife of the late Robert J.; loving mother of Jeffrey (wife Doris), Timothy (wife Patricia) and Richard (wife Sylvia); dearest grandmother of Daniel, Scott, Nicholas, Nathanial, Victoria, Hannah, Joseph, Casandra, Sergio and Reana; and dear sister of David DeMattie, Barbara DeMattie and the late Victor DeMattie.
Rita lived in Euclid for almost 50 years before moving to Middlefield. She worked as a secretary for Wagner Awnings and Progressive Insurance before staying home to raise her children. Eventually, she returned to work at the family owned General Industrial Supply Company. Rita and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Bradenton, Florida, where they were very involved in their community. Rita loved exercising and she enjoyed spending her time making rosaries and knitting gloves for children at Providence House.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 15, at St. Paschal Baylon Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment Western Reserve Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rita at the Mullally Funeral Home located in the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m.
