Obituary for Juliann S Kokenyessy

                                                                                                                                                                     Memorial services for Juliann Semaka Kokenyessy, 88, of Mentor, will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 24600 Lakeshore Boulevard, Euclid. The Rev. Mary Robin Craig will officiate at the service.Juliann (affectionately known as Dolly), passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.Born February 1, 1927 in Cleveland, she has lived in Mentor since 1959. She was a member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and Elder, and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the former Nottingham Chapter 296 (now Western Reserve Chapter 71) Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime volunteer at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby; The Lake University Seidman Cancer Center in Mentor and at Hospice House in Cleveland. She also enjoyed singing with the Hungarian Society and other groups. Dolly was employed as a mortgage loan officer at the former Central National Bank in Cleveland. She retired in 1986 with 40 years of service. Survivors are her sister-in-law, Lillian (Michael) Choffel of Virginia; nieces, Anne (Tom) Corej and Julie Choffel, both of Virginia; nephews, Michael (Michelle) Choffel of Virginia and Michael (Valerie) Lima of Arizona; great nieces, Samantha and Mackenzie Choffel and Mary Corej and great nephews, Michael Corej and Michael N. Lima and their families. She also leaves her dear friend, Barbara R. Daniels.She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Louis A. Kokenyessy, on April 12, 1995. Her parents, Emil and Matilda (Komocsy) Semaka and sister, Violet Lima are also deceased.There will be no calling hours. Private family burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
