Obituary for Clarence J. Stanek

                                                                                                                                                                         Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence J. Stanek, age 88, will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Rd., Thompson. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 6687 Mentor Ave., Painesville. The son of Frank W. and Mary Stanek, he was born on February 26, 1927, in Cleveland. A Leroy Twp. resident for many years, Clarence passed away on April 15, 2015, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord. Clarence served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, participating in the Pacific Theatre. Clarence was a HVAC Technician for many years last working for Bill Reynolds. A member of St. Patrick Church, Clarence enjoyed working cross word puzzles. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemarie (Goerndt) Stanek; children, Christopher (Jamie) Stanek, Nick (Natalie) Stanek, Frank (Lisa LeNeve) Stanek, Geri (Jose) Clayton, Teresa (Chip) Baxter, Francine (Don) Rolli, Jacqui Stanek, Margaret Reed and Catherine Malachowsky; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and brother, Leonard (Marilyn) Stanek. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
