Obituary for Adrienne M Johns

AUSTINTOWN - Adrienne M. Johns, 96, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2015, at Omni Manor Care Center in Youngstown following a long and fulfilling life.

Adrienne was born May 19, 1918, in Dobra, W.Va., a daughter of the late Amil and Catherine Kaminsky Albert. She was raised in Pittsburgh and came to Austintown in the 1950s.

Mrs. Johns was a graduate of Sisters of Divine Providence in Pittsburgh, and dedicated her adult life to being a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.

Her husband, Robert B. Johns, whom she married in 1940, passed away in 1984.

Adrienne leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” and Robert Cruickshank; two grandsons, Robert E. (Ola) Cruickshank and Thomas J. (Laurie) Cruickshank; and five great-grandchildren, Edwin, Andrew, Katherine, Ethan, and Timothy.

Besides her husband, four brothers, Arthur, Norman, Carl, and Donald Albert, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the funeral home, and will continue at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Norquest Boulevard in Austintown.

Committal services will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
