Obituary for Sr. Errol Sadler
Errol Sadler, Sr. was born on September 10, 1940 in Hartwell, Georgia to the late David Campbell and the late Essie Sue McIntosh. Errol went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2015 at Akron General Hospital after a short illnessErrol spent his childhood years growing up in Akron, Ohio. He attended Central High School where he played football. Errol was a judo practitioner earning a Brown Belt in Judo. He was an avid bowler competing in numerous tournaments. He was a member of the Freemasons. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Akron, Ohio where he demonstrated his love for the Lord Jesus Christ and his brothers and sisters in the Lord. Errol worked for the Babcock & Wilcox Company for 24 years retiring in 1992. Errol loved music, played the electric guitar, and sang in a beautiful rich voice. His love for music led him to becoming a well sought after Disc Jockey in the Akron area. He entertained under his stage name of "The SheikErrol was a dynamic dresser who loved to exhibit his varied assortment of coordinating hats and shoes. He loved starting his day out at the Balch Street gym where he enjoyed his daily swim in the pool. On any given weekday you could find Earl (as he was called) hanging out at McDonald''s with his buddies. His witty remarks and his on the spot limericks like "Sadler''s my name, and makin'' money''s my game" will be certainly missed.
