Obituary for Lauretta R. Broadwater

Lauretta R. "Laurie" (nee Kroecker) Broadwater, born in Cleveland, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Hillcrest Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of David; loving mother of Jeffrey Barto (Katie), of Chardon, James Barto (wife Shelley) of Chardon, Michelle Zyzanski of Chesterland, Michael Barto (wife Stefani) and step-mother of Angie Moreland (husband Kevin) of Painesville, Lisa Broadwater of Euclid and Darris Broadwater (wife Kellie) of Eastlake; devoted grandmother of 14; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Marjorie (nee Mueller) Kroecker; dearest sister of Henry "Butch" Kroecker (wife Jean) of Olmsted Falls and Margaret Olsen of Arizona; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Laurie has lived in Kirtland since 1969 and grew up in Lyndhurst. She graduated from Brush High School. Laurie began her career working for the Warner & Swasey Company. She retired from Park Ohio where she was corporate benefits manager. She also worked part time as a dispatcher for the Chesterland Police Department. She loved crafts, traveling, baking and cooking. Her family will remember her for being a loving, caring, hardworking and giving person and one who invited everyone into her home. Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) at 11 a.m. Burial following at Western Reserve Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Laurie at the Funeral Home Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m.
