BOARDMAN - There will be services at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Karen L. “Babe” Lanterman, 70, who died Saturday evening at Masternick Memorial Health Care in New Middletown.

Karen was born April 19, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Lorraine E. Johnson Petrycki.

Karen was a homemaker. She was a graduate of East High School. Karen always put the needs of her family first and loved spending time with her grandson, Nathan. She enjoyed card games, bowling and playing board games.

Karen’s husband, William Kenneth “Pork” Lanterman, whom she married Aug. 3, 1963, died Nov. 5, 2001.

Karen is survived by her son, Michael (Stephaine) Lanterman of Cornersburg; her brother, Jerry (Dee) Petrycki of Columbiana; her sisters, Dolly (Lane) Black of Boardman and Cindy (Todd) Raschilla of New Waterford; her grandson, Nathan Lanterman; and many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, William Petrycki.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
