Walter Melvin Mitzel, Jr.
58 of Orrville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015. Walter was born on April 10, 1956 in Massillon the son of Walter Melvin Mitzel, Sr. and Pauline (Gray) Mitzel-Van Dyne. He loved the outdoors, working on cars, and helping anyone he could in the neighborhood. Walter had a C.B. handle ‘Hippie''. He truly enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Melvin Mitzel, Sr. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Pauline Mitzel (Alfred) Van Dyne, Sr.; his children, Natasha (Bradley) Asbury, Abigal Mitzel, and Colton Mitzel; his grandchildren, Justin, Mason, Brianna, and Michelle; his sisters, Patricia Ann (Ed) Tesch and Sharon Kay Henry; his step-brother, Alfred (Joan) Van Dyne, Jr.; his nieces, Billie Jo Henry, Stacy (Scott) Kraus and Kimberlee Henry; and his nephew Paul (Courtney) Henry. The family would like to thank all the people that helped take care of Walter including Lifecare Hospice of Wooster and Dr. Lance. A Celebration of Walter''s life will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
