Obituary for Arthur E. Auld

Arthur E. Auld, 91, of Mansfield, Ohio went home to be with his Lord, on Friday, Jan. 16. Art was born in Paterson, NJ on March 3, 1923. Art moved to Lake County Ohio in 1944. Art operated Koellisch Carpet Company in Eastlake and Madison Ohio and retired in The Villages, Florida in 1995. In September 2014 Art and Shirley moved to Mansfield Ohio. While in Lake County, Art helped to start Willo Bible Chapel, and later attended Gracemount Assembly of Christians, and then Believers Bible Chapel. During his time in Florida, Art was a member of Ocala Bible Chapel and later Hope Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Art is survived by his current wife, Shirley (Spaid) Auld, his four children, Lois (Mike) Ottman Howland, Arthur H. (Deborah Bingham) Auld, Jane (Rob) Main, Judy (Jerry) Smith, along with 3 step children, Michael (Chris) Spaid and Tamira Trout. He also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Lois Smida. He was preceded in death by his brother Hampton Auld, his 1st wife, Susie Ozinga Auld in October 2000, Ollie Trout and Debbie Spaid. There will be a pre-service at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the former Believer''s Bible Chapel Building, currently The Center of Leroy Community Chapel, 12791 Painesville Warren Road, Leroy, OH 44077. This service will be a memorial in honor of Art''s life and ministry among his family, community, and among the Brethren Assemblies he loved. A burial service is scheduled on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., to be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH 44026-1409. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either CMML (Christian Missions to Many Lands), P.O.
