Obituary for Glendora M Speicher

AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel, for Glendora M. Speicher, 65, who passed away Saturday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center Main Campus.

Glendora was born Dec. 18, 1949, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Zohnd) Dezee.

She retired in 2000, from the Wiring Harness Division of Packard Electric after many years of service.

Glendora was a graduate of Canfield High School, Class of 1968. She was a member of the Venture Church (the former Idaho Road Church) and was a member of the Christian Women’s League, where she served as president of the local chapter for several years.

Glendora leaves two stepdaughters, Charisse (Arthur) Smith of Austintown and Pamela (David) Jones of North Lima; one sister, Phyllis (Dennis) Welton of Boardman; one brother, George (Darlene) Dezee of McDonald; and three grandchildren, Zachary and Connor Jones, and Alexander Smith. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Gavin Jones and Ava Loveland; three nephews, Mark, Doug, and Robbie; one niece, Melissa; as well as several great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Hughey.

Besides her parents, Glendora was preceded in death by her former husband, Walter Speicher.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Austintown Relay for Life, in care of the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406, in Glendora’s name.
