Charles A. Gerhard

69 of Perry Township, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014. Charles was born on Jan. 29, 1945 in Confluence, Pa., the son of the late Richard and Alice (Anderson) Gerhard. Chuck lived here most of his life and was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School. He was a United States Army veteran and served our country during the Vietnam War. He worked for Republic Steel, retiring after many years of service. Chuck enjoyed golfing, and reading. He was a member of the Eagles #190. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye Gerhard in 2006 and his brother, Ed Gerhard. He is survived by his son, Todd Gerhard; his daughter, Amy (Steve) Morgan; his grandchildren, Jessica, Trent and Riley; his great-grandson, Miles; and his sister, Shirley Gerhard. A Celebration of Chuck''s life will be held on Dec. 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Dr. Roger Alber will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
