Obituary for RONALD E SALAMONE SR

Ronald E. Salamone, Sr.

Ronald E. Salamone, Sr., 84, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Thursday, May 4th, at his residence in the company of family members.  

Ronald was born in Williamsport, PA on October 17, 1938, a son of the late Adeline (Rosato) and Peter Salamone. He was the husband of Donna M. Winskowski. They were together for over 31 years.

Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Policemen from 1958-1962 and as a Pennsylvania State Trooper from 1962 - 1966.  From 1966 - circa 1975, he served as the Police Chief in Caernarvon Twp.  In subsequent years, he held jobs as the owner of a Morgantown Sporting Goods, Head of Records at Meridian Bank, Manager of Sporting Goods at TC Sports, the Parts Dept at Reading Tube and as an Osha Trainer at Reading Powder Coating.

In addition to his wife, Donna, Ronald is survived by two sons Peter A. Salamone, husband of Diane Salamone, of Williamsport, PA and Ronald Salamone Jr., of Morgantown, PA.  He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Megan and Cole Salamone.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, May 10th from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at John P. Feeney Funeral Home.  A religious service will follow the visitation at 10:30 a.m at the funeral home.  Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum will follow with full US Air Force military honors and Topton American Legion Honor Team.
